Elements and Principles of Design

Welcome to our web project on the Elements and Principles of Design.  This project will allow us to further investigate the definitions of the elements and principles of design and discover how they are used in artworks.  Although we already have reviewed simple definitions for the elements and principles of design, this project will provide us with a much more in-depth look at what they mean, how they are used in artwork, and how we can use them to enhance our own artwork.

By completing this project, we will be gaining valuable information that will help guide our interpretation of the artworks we study in class.  We will also be gaining knowledge that will help us make informed choices when planning our own artworks, which will in turn allow us to produce high quality work.

The knowledge gained from completing this assignment will not only benefit us in this art class, but will also allow us to create more appealing designs in all aspects of our lives.  Knowing how to create excellent designs can help us create better projects in all of our classes in school, but will also provide us with a highly sought after set of skills that are used in the workplace.  Pay close attention to the articles in this web project that discuss occupations that utilize the elements and principles of design.
